Many fans expected Geralt and Yennefer to get back together. The Witcher season 2 ended with Geralt saying Yennefer has broken his trust for her actions. Will Geralt forgive the sorceress in season 3 or beyond? That left the big questions that season 3 needs to answer, and not all of them can be answered by the source material.
Netflix's The Witcher ended with Geralt telling Yennefer that he will never forgive her for her betrayal of him and Ciri - but that won't necessarily be the case going into season 3 and potentially beyond. The Witcher is loosely based on Andrzej Sapkowski's books of the same name. The series stars Henry Cavill as the titular monster slayer, who across the first 2 seasons has learned to care for his adoptive child, Ciri, the child of prophecy. Yennefer's journey, by contrast, has been more morally complex.
The Witcher season 2 saw Geralt trying to train Ciri to harness her unknown powers. Geralt's former lover, Yennefer, is also struggling to deal with the loss of her magical powers after the events of The Witcher season 1. These plot points culminate in Yennefer taking Ciri from Geralt to Voleth Meir, or the Deathless Mother, a demon who feeds on pain. Yennefer intended to trade Ciri to the demon in exchange for the return of her powers. Yennefer, however, couldn't go through with the plan due to her feelings for Geralt and her growing fondness for his adoptive daughter, eventually attempting to sacrifice herself to save Ciri before being spared. Despite this attempted sacrifice, Geralt insists he will never forgive Yennefer for her betrayal. This raises the question of whether the Witcher will ever forgive her, or truly mistrust Yennefer forever.

Instead of seeing Geralt and Yennefer properly reunite in The Witcher season 2, their problems only grew as Yennefer almost betrayed them by handing Ciri to the Voleth Meir. In the books, Geralt and Yennefer eventually reconcile and Yennefer takes on the role of adoptive mother to Ciri, and while season 2 ended up with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri finally together, it’s hard to say if the witcher and the sorceress will rekindle their romance, as Geralt made it very clear that he can no longer trust Yennefer.Netflix's The Witcher ended with Geralt telling Yennefer that he will never forgive her for her betrayal of him and Ciri - but that won't necessarily be the case going into season 3 and potentially beyond. 2. Will Geralt and Yennefer get back together?

The Witcher season 3 will likely be Yennefer attempting to regain Geralt's trust. Whether she will succeed is another thing entirely, though there are hints from both the show and the books it is based on as to what the outcome will be. The main factor which hints at Geralt forgiving Yennefer is their feelings for one another. Since the first meeting of the two in The Witcher season 1, Geralt and Yennefer have had obvious chemistry. This was only solidified when Geralt used a wish from a Djinn, or genie, to bind his and Yennefer's fates together. While this caused issues between the two, they eventually rekindled their relationship in The Witcher season 2 before Yennefer's betrayal. Both Geralt's prior feelings, and his wish from the Djinn, mean that Geralt surely has to forgive Yennefer eventually, especially if the latter continues protecting Ciri and acting as her mother p.Source: Games Radar
While the inclusion of Voleth Meir was an original idea for The Witcher, Geralt and Yennefer's relationship is presented similarly in the books, as intermittent rather than steady and committed. However, the ending of Sapkowski's books includes Yennefer attempting to heal Geralt from death, indicating her feelings for him remain. With this, it is safe to assume The Witcher will similarly reconcile the relationship as Sapkowski did in the books.Source: Screenrant
As The Witcher season 2 began portraying the trio of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri as a family unit, it would make sense for that to continue into The Witcher season 3 and potentially beyond. As the books also have this dynamic between the three, the show will likely choose this direction for the characters. That, combined with Geralt and Yennefer's feelings for one another, Geralt's wish from the genie, and the way the book story pans out, indicate that Geralt will in fact forgive Yennefer. Just how the show portrays this though, and how long it will take, remains to be seen when The Witcher season 3 is released on Netflix.Aubtu.biz is a website that provides you with sport updates and Entertainment news to brighten your day.
