In the latest episode of FBI Most Wanted, anchorwoman Lauren Baxter was tragically murdered outside her studio by a masked man despite her attempts to fight back. The team believed that her killer didn't intend for things to escalate to that level. They thought that the real target of the murderer is Lauren's laptop only. The security footage led the investigation team to believe that the culprit may have known Lauren personally, as she was specifically targeted and parked in a well-lit area. However, they changed their minds after speaking to Lauren's husband.
Lauren's husband Josh revealed that before Lauren died, she had a stalker who had been sending letters and making random calls to her. He begged Lauren to leave her husband. The FBI identified the man as Harry Watt.

But further investigation revealed that Watt had never met Lauren in person. He was actually fixated on several other well-known women as well. In fact, Watt's obsession with another victim led him to rent a boat to stalk her, which provided an alibi for the night of Lauren's murder.
After investigating several leads, the FBI finally identified the real killer to be Miles Maddox. He went on to kill someone else and left behind fingerprints at the crime scene. The investigation team was able to connect Maddox as the culprit when they discovered that he was a math teacher and had provided fingerprints as part of his job requirement.
Maddox wanted Lauren's laptop because she had done a story on Tredate Pharmaceuticals and he was after the information. Further, the FBI found that Maddox suffered from lupus. He relied on a life-saving drug called "effercil," which had its price raised by three hundred percent by Tredate Pharmaceuticals.

The FBI visited his home to question Maddox's wife Savannah. They found a bruise on her cheek. Savannah claimed that her husband had given it to her, but it later turned out to be fake when security footage showed her colluding with Maddox.Further digging into their lives revealed that Savannah grew up with emotionally neglectful parents. She latched onto Maddox because he was the only one who gave her the love she needed, despite both of them having lupus and not being wealthy. Savannah was willing to do anything for her husband, including playing the FBI to buy him time.
In a shocking twist, the FBI found out that the murderous couple were actually siblings, among over forty other siblings they discovered through an ancestry website. The siblings all shared the genetic disease lupus, which they inherited from a fertility doctor named Gregory Scanlon. Gregory used his own sperm to impregnate his patients in the 1980s.

The second victim of a couple was actually an eyewitness who saw Scanlon collecting his own DNA. She was convinced not to report it. She kept his secret until Lauren started investigating about Scanlon.During the investigation, the eyewitness eventually backed out, leaving the story untold. When Savannah and Maddox discovered that they were siblings, they decided to get revenge on their father. After tracking down their other siblings, they hunted down Scanlon and carried out a series of heinous crimes.
Savannah got shot during a bank robbery and abandoned her husband at a gas station. She started torturing their father until the FBI intervened. The FBI then told Savannah that after testing her blood, they discovered that she was pregnant with an incest baby likely to inherit lupus. Savannah decided to turn herself in. Scanlon was also arrested for fraud as he is still continuing his crime even into modern times.
