Crosshair Rejoin The Bad Batch? Why He Should?

Michelle Hall

Should Crosshair rejoin The Bad Batch? Even if it doesn't happen right away, the second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch has the potential to have a story arc in which Crosshair is redeemed. Crosshair wasn't originally willing to betray anybody, but in the end, he did consent to have his inhibitor chip removed.
This suggests that he actively joined the Empire, was responsible for the deaths of innocent people, and even went looking for his brothers. Crosshair can rejoin the Bad Batch, but it is obvious that he must first establish the groundwork for this.

#1. Crosshair Rejoin The Bad Batch?

It is possible that considerable time will pass before the Bad Batch and Omega can forgive Crosshair in full for the crimes he took in Season 1. They may be convinced to let Crosshair join them if he is needed on a mission or as a spy within the Empire at some point. Similarly, this would be comparable to the character Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels, who first provided intelligence to the rebels before being discovered and forced to escape.
Crosshair will perish if he is not prepared to turn his back on the Empire. There is no other option. Within the canon of Star Wars, there is a long history of evil characters achieving a change of heart and becoming heroes. Darth Vader and Kylo Ren are the two most obvious examples of this since they both deserted the people they loved and dedicated themselves totally to the Empire and the First Order, respectively, at the price of their former comrades.

In the end, however, they each apologize for putting their own lives in danger to save another person's life. It is never too late to make apologies, no matter how far you may have strayed from the road of justice, which is one of the most encouraging teachings that can be taken away from the Star Wars franchise. A second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch may take this concept further by giving Crosshair another shot at making amends.
It would be consistent with the rest of the Star Wars series and a great method to continue Crosshair's quest simultaneously. Because other villains, such as Darth Vader and Kylo Ren, have been able to own their wrongdoing and make atonement, it is not unfathomable that Crosshair may do the same. The path that Crosshair travels in the second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is ultimately determined by Dave Filoni and the rest of the creative team.
