They discovered the source of the bleachy odor that invaded his home that night. Dale's murder of two Asian businessmen that night, both of whom owned restaurants, was later exposed.
Dale was wearing gloves and a face mask. He never had any close friends or family other than Richard Beck. He had a superb foot soldier in Dale until Dale went off and killed those people, drawing too much attention to them. A little while later, Richard had Samantha ask Ruzek to murder Dale on his behalf. They made it look like they were about to murder Dale instead of just detaining him. Dale found out that Richard planned to assassinate him. They convinced him he had nothing to lose by turning on Richard. It's only that he's not included. Dale said he would die for his nation since the struggle is bigger than any one "soldier." Dale was already harmed by the time they located him.
They hurried him to the hospital, and he decided to finish Richard's assignment while he was there. Dale ended up killing himself. When asked what did him, Dale answered that it was because the plan to save the white race was too important to let one soldier bring it down. The man had recently died. Ruzek was at a loss about where to look next. He couldn't let up on his undercover activities. After some time, Samantha Beck asked him over for dinner.
