Chainsaw Man Episode 13 Release Date, Cast & More: When Will Season 2 Come Out?

For now, there is no official release date for Chainsaw Man Season 2 just yet. However, Denji and his group are expected to return sometime in 2024, so fans won’t have to wait too long to see episode 13 of the critically acclaimed franchise.

The first season of the anime was premiered on October 22, consisting of 12 episodes. It earns a whopping 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The final episode of Chainsaw Man Season 1 ends with an epic fight between Denji and the Sword Devil on a train. Finally, he defeats the villain using a hidden chainsaw on his leg. Meanwhile, Aki Hayakawa also successfully cuts off the Ghost Devil by freeing himself from fear. 

Before handing the Sword Demon to the police, Denji and Aki have a hilarious (and ridiculously painful) nut-kicking contest against the villain as a way to mourn Himeno. Akane is later killed by the Snake Devil, and Makima’s new clue may lead the team closer to the Gun Devil’s whereabout.

According to the manga, Season 2 of the anime will start with the Bomb Devil Arc, with Denji and Reze as the main characters. Reze was introduced at the end of Season 1, and will have a much bigger role in the second. The same can be said about Kishibe and the Angel Devil.

And since the Bomb Devil Arc is fairly short, we can expect Season 2 to cover the International Assassins Arc as well. Several new characters are introduced to the scene in this arc, including the fan-favorite Quanxi, Yutaro, and Yoshida.

That being said, if Chainsaw Man Season 2 remains faithful to the manga, then episode 13 will solely focus on Denji’s encounter with Reze and their night date at school.

The first season was a blessing for our ears with the stunning soundtrack, the brutal and gory action sound effects, and of course, the voice actors’ breathtaking performances. 

According to the manga, the most prominent characters from the first season will make their return, such as Denji, Power, Aki, Makima, and Kobeni. Therefore, both their Japanese and English voice actors are likely to reprise their roles as well.

For Season 1’s Japanese cast, we have Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Ai Fairouz as Power, Shogo Sakata as Aki, and Tomori Kusunoki as Makima. For the English cast, these main characters are voiced by Ryan Colt Levy, Sarah Wiedenheft, Reagan Murdock, and Suzie Yeung, respectively.

Season 1 also introduces to us some supporting characters near the end, such as Reze, Kishibe, and the Angel Devil. Season 2, which starts with the Bomb Devil Arc, will give these characters a more crucial role, and so will their voice actors. Reze is voiced by Reina Ueda, while Kishibe and Angel Devil are portrayed by Kenjiro Tsuda and Maaya Uchida,

There are several platforms where you can watch the popular anime franchise. Chainsaw Man is available on Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime, and VRV. Episode 13 and the second season are likely to be released on these streaming services as well.

The studio responsible for making Chainsaw Man is MAPPA, a behemoth in the anime industry. It’s best known for making blockbuster shows with stunning and extremely detailed animation, such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, or Vinland Saga. In order to be adapted by MAPPA, the manga itself must have a certain level of exposure to the audience worldwide.

If nothing changes, MAPPA will take charge of making Chainsaw Man Season 2 as well, so we can expect another spectacular display of animation and effects by the renowned studio.

Chainsaw Man Episode 13’s release date isn’t yet confirmed, but we have high hope that it will reach the audience within 2024. Episode 13 will kickstart yet another spectacular campaign for Chainsaw Man Season 2, and we can’t wait to see Denji, Aki, and Power in action again.
