Arifureta Season 3 Release Date, News, Trailer, And Everything We Know

As of now, an official release date for Arifureta Season 3 has not been confirmed.

The long-awaited third season of the anime has been officially confirmed. The announcement came via the Arifureta Twitter page in September 2022.

While we don't have an exact release date, we're keeping our fingers crossed for an early 2024 launch, possibly in early April.

Good news for fans of the cast: it looks like the familiar voices will be returning for the third season. Kuwahara Yuuki, the voice behind Yue, expressed her excitement about reprising her role on her Twitter account.

The PV teaser above consists of the second season recaps along with the next destination, Haltina Labyrinth.

It also shows the Hauria tribe, which Shea belongs to, after Hajime’s “reformation”.

Arifureta's story starts with a high school student named Hajime, who, along with his classmates, gets whisked away to another world. But while his classmates gain powerful abilities, Hajime's only power is the ability to transmute objects. Feeling pretty down about his seemingly weak power, Hajime makes a bold decision.

During a dangerous dungeon dive, a harrowing accident leads to a showdown with a formidable monster. Showing his selflessness, Hajime decides to take on the monster solo, using his transmutation skills to his advantage. As his classmates provide cover from a distance, Hajime's plan almost succeeds, but a last-minute magic attack knocks him and the monster off a bridge.

Miraculously, Hajime survives the fall and finds himself in a deep pit. Little does he know that the true dungeon, filled with high-level monsters, lies ahead, spanning a daunting 100 floors. Despite his initial despair, Hajime resolves to do whatever it takes to return to Earth.

As time goes on, the kind-hearted Hajime transforms into a determined and sometimes ruthless individual, all in pursuit of his goal. Yet, beneath his tough exterior, his core kindness remains. Throughout his journey alongside others, he rediscovers his humanity while searching for a way back to his original world.

"Arifureta" is a popular light novel series written by Ryo Shirakome and illustrated by Takaya-Ki that made its debut in November 2013. Since then, it has captivated readers with 13 volumes of its light novel series.

The English version of the light novels is available digitally through J-Novel Club and in physical format courtesy of Seven Seas Entertainment. The series has enjoyed tremendous success, boasting a remarkable 5 million copies sold worldwide.

The popularity of the light novels paved the way for an anime adaptation. The first season of "Arifureta" premiered in October 2019, but it faced a wave of criticism, particularly regarding its subpar visual animation and disjointed storyline. However, the series was given a second chance.

With significant changes to the staff, the second season of the anime was warmly received by fans of "Arifureta." This season covered material from six volumes of the light novels.

To delight fans further, a special package of the second season's Blu-ray was released on September 25, 2022. It includes a two-part OVA titled "The Miraculous Meeting and the Phantasmagorical Adventure" and the 13th volume of the light novel. The OVA is set to air on AT-X on December 11, 2022.

In exciting news for fans of the Isekai series Arifureta, the green light for Arifureta Season 3 has been given. Despite initial criticism, the series has earned its third season, thanks in part to the positive reception of the second season under director Iwanaga Akira.
