Only after months of playing at one small bar and almost running out of money, Billy and the band finally got the chance to prove themselves. One member was added on the band. At first, Billy and Daisy didn't like each other. Billy felt like the existence of another singer-songwriter might be a threat to him. He was afraid that Daisy would replace him. However, as they spent more time together, they started to grow feelings for each other. They actually shared not one, but two kisses in the series.
One of the biggest changes for Camila on the screen is that all of her deepest emotions would be expressed more clearly. Camila had to deal with her own challenges and vulnerabilities. The show's producers said that they wanted to show the "human Camila", as different from the pure, kind-like-a-saint and too-good-to-be-true Camila in the book. Daisy was addicted with drugs. All the problems going on in her life only made it worse. Daisy tried to get sober many times, but it never really worked.

Until one day, Billy's family, Camila and his daughter Julia, visited the band on a show. Seeing the family happily spent time together, Daisy could really feel how much Billy loved his family. She belatedly knew that Bill would never be with her. Daisy then turned into a crying mess. Meanwhile, during that time, Billy was also taking too many drinks at the bar when he realized he need to choose between the band and his family. And he chose the latter.
Camila came across Daisy when she was at her lowest. She comforted Daisy, but also advised her to leave the band, get rid of her drug addiction and turn a new page in life. Daisy knew that Camila was giving her the best advice. At that point, she came to the conclusion that enough was enough. The next day, Daisy decided to leave the band. The band cancelled the rest of their tours.

After Daisy left the band, she never really met Billy again. Many years later, Camila had Lupus. Before she passes away, she wrote a letter to her daughter Julia. However, in the letter, she told Billy to get in contact with Daisy Jones.
