In the video, the two tiger cubs displayed their playful and curious nature as they explored the great outdoors.
They ran around the grass, playfully wrestled with each other, and had endearing interactions with their mom, Diana.
“Paws for the cat cuteness Sumatran tiger cubs Puteri and Hutan stepped out of the den for the first time,” the caption of the video says.
The video was shared on the San Diego Zoo's social media, and it quickly garnered attention from animal lovers worldwide.
People couldn't contain their excitement, expressing their desire to see the cubs in person when visiting the zoo.
“I just wanna hold one so bad,” one person admitted.
“Looks like a good day to be a tiger,” another shared.
“Makes me so happy they’re still with their mamma,” shared another viewer.
The zoo responded, announcing that the tiger cubs would be viewable starting on October 14, allowing visitors to enjoy their charming antics.
These Sumatran tiger cubs are particularly special because they are the offspring of Diana and Dumai, making them the first cubs of their species born at the Safari Park's Tull Family Tiger Trail habitat in seven years. Their birth resulted from a breeding recommendation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Sumatran Tiger Species Survival Plan, which aims to ensure genetic diversity and healthy populations of endangered wildlife.
