When it comes to pets, we often think about fluffy cats and dogs, the domestic animals that have been great companions of people throughout history. However, it doesn’t mean that other animals lack some qualities to become perfect pets. Many people keep predators like cheetahs or snakes as pets, and some are in favor of lizards or frogs.
Today we’ll introduce you to Blueberry, a tiny pig that has become attached to his human parents. He’s proven that pigs could be lovable and affectionate pets as long as they get enough love and care. His cheerful disposition makes him a charming pet that many find hard to resist.
The new family appears to get on very well with him, which bodes well for his future. It’s so lovely to see him finally find a place he belongs to.

Blueberry was separated from his mother 3 days after he was born. He weighed only 2 and a half pounds when he was found alone in a cage. Obviously, he was so starving that he tucked into the food given to him immediately.Source: emiliexfosters
He was then brought to Tiny Hooves, a farm sanctuary, and went through a thorough checkup. He had a deformity in his bitten-off ear, and people liked to refer to it as the “little Nemo fin”.Source: emiliexfosters
It took only two days for Blueberry to acclimate himself to the new environment. Once he successfully adapted, he started wagging his tail, which stole many hearts. His foster parents, Emilie and Kayla, shared that he loved kisses and hugs. He always wants to get a kiss before going to sleep.Source: emiliexfosters
“When you rub his belly, he’ll flop over to the side,” one of his foster parents said. “He was way smaller than my cat. He has sass in him a little bit. He just was not what I was expecting at all.”Source: emiliexfosters
The little pig also enjoys sniffing, licking, and snuggling with his human parents. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious, so he brings lots of joy to people around him.Source: emiliexfosters
“We wanted to make sure that he was healthy and old enough before he went off to his new home,” his foster mom said. Eventually, they’ve taken Blueberry to a rescue farm with many other animals. The pig seemed so excited that he ran and jumped everywhere with a grin on his face.Source: emiliexfosters
“Running up to the chickens, he was having a lot of fun,” she shared. “It just felt perfect. They are planning to get him a friend once he’s older. I could not be happier with where he went. He truly hit the jackpot with his family.”The new family appears to get on very well with him, which bodes well for his future. It’s so lovely to see him finally find a place he belongs to.
