A Redditor Reimagines Family Guy Characters As An 90s Sitcom Show, And The Result Is Giggity-Good

When it comes to dark humor animated TV shows in the US, few can surpass Family Guy in terms of quality and its twisted sense of hilarity. Currently in its 21st season, Family Guy is renowned for its daring approach to comedy, often delving into edgy and controversial subjects, pushing the boundaries of traditionally animated sitcoms. This infusion of the trademark dark humor, alongside its sharp commentary on social and political issues, has earned the show a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim.

With the series’ imminent success, it’s a given that the audience wants a Holywood studio to adapt the show into a live-action movie or TV series, bringing iconic characters such as Peter Griffin or Glenn Quagmire into life. While there is no news about a live-action adaptation yet, Redditor u/CyberZen-YT, with a bit of help from the Midjourney AI app, has successfully transitioned the beloved characters from the show to life. Let’s dive right in to see the result, created by AI magic.

#1. Peter Griffin looks like he comes straight from the animated TV show, but with more hairline and aggression

Peter is the main protagonist of the show, a regular working man who’s overweight and has a somewhat skanky personality. He lives in the imaginary town of Quahog, Rhodes Island with his wife Lois and his children.

#2. Lois looks way hotter than I expected.

No wonder Quagmire goes after her.

Lois is Peter’s wife in the show, and a mother to three children. Depicted as the caring and loving wife model in the house, however, she has her own dark and obnoxious moments as well.

#3. You can’t find a more accurate depiction of Chris. Change my mind.

Chris is the middle child of the Griffin family, who’s awkward and struggles with social and school problems. He’s not the brightest person in the house, and is very self-conscious about his weight.

#4. There’s no way our Megatron can look this stunning.

Meg is the first child in the family, who’s always ridiculed and humiliated by her family after her voice actress, Lacey Chabert leaves the role after Season 1. She’s often the butt of jokes and is followed by bad luck throughout the series.

#5. Stewie looks like a grumpy version of Chucky, but still retains that little evil scientist vibe.

Having an exceptional intelligence for his age, Stewie is easily one of the most interesting characters in the show, who speaks with a sophisticated British accent and possesses an insatiable thirst for world domination. Beneath his adorable exterior lies a mischievous mastermind, often concocting elaborate and absurd schemes to carry out his evil plans. He’s best friend with Brian, one of the few characters who can understand what he says.

#6. Without the oversized chin, Glenn Quagmire looks like a classic American hunk in the 40s.

Quagmire is the sex-crazed and perverted neighbor of the Griffin family, and is one of Peter’s best friends. Notoriously known for his womanizing game, Quagmire has some very iconic catchphrases in the show, such as “Giggity!” or “All right!”

#7. This version of Joe Swanson is so accurate, it got fans on their feet.

Joe is a role-model police officer of the Quahog residence, who got paralyzed below his hip as he got injured in a mission. While being known as a more reasonable person in Peter’s friend circle, Joe has a hard time controlling his anger issues.

#8. Herbert with a very questionable walking frame, so he can catch Chris faster.

One of the more perverted characters in the show, Herbert is an elderly who has a deviant thirst for young boys, especially Chris.

#9. Cleveland Brown channeling his inner Eddie Murphy right here.

Cleveland is the last one in Peter’s friend circle, who’s the most mellow and gullible compared to the others. He’s also the only friend of Peter who ventures off to have his own spin-off show in the series.

#10. We’d love to see the live-action fight between Peter and this version of Ernie the Giant Chicken.

Most of the time, logic doesn’t apply in Family Guy, so it might not come as a surprise that Peter holds a lifelong grudge against a giant chicken. Ernie would often show up in a random scene to interrupt our protagonist, and the two engage in extremely brutal hand-to-hand combat. The scenes between Peter and Ernie are easily the best fighting sequences in any animated series.
