There are many ways to make a movie scene enough impressive to stay in viewers’ minds. One of the best-established methods is using slow motion. The technique has come a long way since the birth of the art form. Filmmakers have been utilizing slow-motion for scenes of great significance, which offer a plot twist or appear in the finale.
However, not every movie that uses slow motion does it well. Some filmmakers tend to overuse it and the result is not good as expected. But when it’s right, it’s incredible. These are the greatest slow-motion moments in cinematic history, from bullet time to baby carriages.

Zack Snyder often uses the slow-mo technique in cinematography. In “Watchmen”, we can’t forget the scene in which The Comedian was thrown through his apartment window to his fate. The glass bursting around him looks like it actually belongs in the panel of a comic book.

The filmmaker uses the slow-mo technique in “The Matrix Reloaded” so well. When Morpheus, Trinity, and the key maker are trying to run away, the fight ends because two trucks collide with one other. As a result, Morpheus and the key maker fly in between a gateway of smoke and flames. The scene is so fantastic.

In “Wanted”, Jame McAvoy played Wesley, a stressed-out office worker. The scene that grabbed huge attention is the form of a keyboard. The second “u” in the saying is actually a tooth. It is Wesley’s feeling when he belittles his obnoxious boss in front of the entire office and then communicates how he feels to his best friend (Chris Pratt) - who's been sleeping with his girlfriend.
