Reddit Supports Apartment Owner For Making Property Management Company Lose Over $500,000 Due To Negligence

While many tenants hold grudges against their landlords because of their problems, not all apartment complexes are taken care of by the property owner. In many cases, management companies will be hired to take charge of the building, so they are the ones to blame for the citizens’ troubles.

With the consult of a friend and a lawyer, the poster added a condition that the management company had to be accountable for its negligence on the lease. Both parties agreed with that condition, and luckily, it would save much cost for the property owner later. The complex then was handed off to the site management, and the Redditor kept track of them through monthly reports and apartment visits every 3-4 months.

The problem emerged with the roach invasion in the storage closet of an apartment. The management company stated they were trying to handle the issue, so the poster didn’t think it was out of control.
