We always see Disney princesses in gorgeous gowns in fairylands far away, so sometimes, it’s boring for some. Ástor Alexander, a freelance illustrator from San Diego, Califonia, reimagined some of our favorite Disney royalty with an edgy twist.
His collection named Noir Princesses featured beloved characters as femme Fatales with shaped eyes and red lips. The artist used a dark color palette with a nod to vintage film noir posters suggesting that there's evil lurking beneath their beauty. Astor perfected and captured the aesthetic and atmosphere of the genre while preserving the distinct personalities of the princesses.
