Apparently, Japanese movies’ CGI might hardly compare to American ones. And Netflix is a popular production house for making great CGI with other studios involved. Therefore, the Death Note movie is satisfying in terms of visual effects. Every scene of Ryuk, the main Shinigami, is very much the highlight of the film. Otherwise, he is also the character with the most spotlight.

#2. Ryuk’s Voice And Look

As mentioned above, he is the spotlight of this adaptation. Therefore, it is reasonable to invest in this character’s voice and look. He impressed everyone with his accuracy in the manga/anime variant. Willem Dafoe and Jason Liles joined together to portray this fascinating “death spirit”.
