The costume designers and on-set dressers take responsibility for every character’s looks. Not only do their costumes place us in the world and time period of the story, but they reveal the characters’ personalities.
However, making a mistake is natural. It is surprising that some big blunders make it all the way to the final cut and when looking back, we can’t believe that no one spotted them earlier. #1 Gone with the Wind

The movie is set in the tumultuous years between 1861 and 1873. However, Scarlett O'Hara’s slim-fitting red dress with feathers and rhinestones was inspired more by styles from the 1930s and 1940s.

#2 Julius Caesar

We can see that most of the female characters in the movie put on extravagant bullet bras. In fact, at that time, women tended to wear a strontium, a prototype but these weren’t bullet bras.

In the movie, Brad Pitt with beautiful blonde hair and facial hair stole millions of hearts. But, according to history, these things were unacceptable. Men had short hair and big mustaches.

The movie took place in the ‘90s and most of the clothes look quite accurate except for Dudley Dursley’s outfit. In a scene, he wore G-Unit shorts — a brand that was created by 50 Cent in 2003.

Despite winning 3 Oscars, the movie had some mistakes. It is set in New York at the end of the nineteenth century when such hairstyle, lip gloss, and eye makeup didn’t exist.

Female characters look great in stunning dresses with open shoulders. However, in the 16^th century, it was unacceptable. Women wore clothes that protected them from the cold and absorbed sweat.

The movie starts in 1926 but we can see some slim-fitting clothes that don’t relate to the fashion of the 1920s.

At the beginning of the film, Gerda has a hairstyle that was actually quite outdated for the setting that favored waved or bobbed hair.

Wearing a corset alone is opposed to the original rules, but Keira Knightley did and it seems that no one noticed.
