16 People Who Are Confidently Incorrect

Robert Whitman-Byrne

In the r/confidentlyincorrect subreddit, entitled people from all walks of life who are unwavering in their incorrect replies are made fun of by other users. It's also extremely funny. Here are a few explanations on why it's best to perform some research before posting information online.
Being self-assured is crucial in life. Additionally, intelligence is crucial. Unfortunately, these persons only possessed one and not the other, which caused them to incorrectly guess fairly confidently. It is said that those who are truly intelligent are aware of their ignorance. Knowing what you don't know is part of being wise. But doing so requires a level of humility and acceptance of one's faults, and those who can do so frequently lack the same amount of self-assurance as people who believe they are experts. Why else wouldn't they have confidence? They believe they are experts.
Confidence is the key to persuading someone that you are correct. You can make it if you fake it, right? R-right? Huge amounts of confidence are fantastic (and undoubtedly dramatic), but they never suffice on their own. particularly if you are just in the wrong and everyone else around you is aware of it. Feeling unshakeable and braver than Braveheart are all admirable traits, but without other significant things to support them, they amount to empty bluster. And if it isn't entertaining to see, darn it!
There are others who agree with us. The 'Confidently Incorrect' subreddit, which has more than 404k subscribers, was really created for this purpose.
Their culture revolves around making fun of people who are overconfident but lose it the second logic or common sense enters the discussion. You'll find plenty of situations that will make you facepalm, so start scrolling and voting for your favorite pictures. Many people who are correct and many people who are wrong behave so confidently because of the unpleasant intelligence paradox.
