Artist Draws 35 Comics That Flaunt His Joyful, "Chaotic" Life With His Fiancée

Margot Nolan

Lockdowns during months of COVID-19 must be one unexpected hurtful smack to many people, especially those who love spending time outside. Indeed, no one could barely be in bed and eat the whole day until the lockdowns ended. But for many others, this was the perfect time to stay at home and to do their favorite things that they missed. The web-comics phenomenon started to expand along with the emergence of many new faces talented in making comics. As for today’s guest, we’re having Amir Lopez, one of the most well-liked comic artists on Facebook so far. Let’s together find out how he created and released his works during the lockdowns in a very successful way!
Amir Lopez is a Filipino-American living in Melbourne, Australia, where he met his beloved life partner. He used to write poems, record music, and practice hip-hopping in high school. They all came to a full stop right before he attended the university. After two years of graduating from the marketing and communications ology, he now works as a marketing professional and makes comics as his side job.
Amir Lopez’s interest in web-comics came from the influences of artists War & Peas, Poorly Drawn Lines, Mr. Lovenstein, The Awkward Yeti, Sundae Kids, and Enzo Comics. He’s always into humor and positivity and then never stops finding ways to make people laugh. The hope of spreading refreshing energy along with his creative outlet are the reasons for Amir to create funny web-comics on his own.
Amir Lopez is well known as the creator of “Wyatt & Blu” series which has been made since 2018. The comics tell us about the wholesome funny life of him with his fiancée playing a colored-haired couple drawn in likable “Chibi”-based style. The strips are light-heated and make a good mixture of everyday humor, love, careers, relationships, and good vibes. He believes the consistent volume is the toughest part of making such illustrations. Thankfully, he has been getting used to it and finds it no more difficult to fill up his mind with jocular ideas.
We’ve collected 35 of Amir’s funniest and most relatable comics below. If you’d love to get more, go check them out on his personal website – Wyatt&Blu. Enjoy and have a nice day!
