25 Nick Seluk’ Drawings That Expose Ridiculous Chaos Between Brain And Tongue

Margot Nolan

Have you ever thought of one day that you caught your brain and tongue making gossip? Would they complain about your eating habits or diets? Who would you believe to guide your life better? Curious yet? Responding to such an idea, Nick Seluk, the own father of “The Awkward Yeti” comics series, has created funny illustrations of human-like brain and tongue, revealing their super extraordinary friendship. He literally brings our internal organs to life by making them express varied emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and even raise their voices just like us in the real world. While the brain is thoughtful and well-disciplined, the tongue is just greedy and aggressive. Let’s together explore their opposite lifestyles to see how silly yet funny they are!
Nick Seluk comes from Novi, Michigan, the U.S.A. He has never stopped trying to be funny ever since he was a kid. His unnatural sense of humor is one of his best inspirations to create entertaining comics alone. He used to work as a graphic designer for 10 years yet later found art as his best place. Prior to the period of his great fame for the 2018 series “Heart and Brain”, Nick got his first children’s book, The Sun is Kind of a Big Deal, published by Scholastic and received quite much positive feedback from his readers.
Nick Seluk revealed the most difficult part of his web-comics-making process was to fit concepts, especially psychological or medical, into just a few comic panels. “It requires taking a lot of information or an idea.” He believes his drawing style is fairly loose, while his writing is character-driven and introspective. The fact that Nick has been making “The Awkward Yeti” for nearly 9 years strongly declares his eternal love and passion for funny comics. “Entertaining others keeps me going.”
Giving advice to his readers, Nick confidently persuaded them not to be afraid of making mistakes when truly looking forward to doing art. He pointed out that the will to practice against difficulties was best for improvements in the long run. “With a lot of hard work, I was able to quit my day job, and now I can work on projects that truly interest me.”
We’ve listed out 25 of Nick’s funniest comics of the two characters, Brain and Tongue, so as to meet your twisted sense of humor. If you’d love to know more, go check his thousands of works on his website, the Awkward Yeti, or purchase them on Amazon! Have a nice day!
