8 Stunning Pictures That Reimagine Disney Characters As Their Voice Actors

Lucas Aquino

Behind every Disney princess and character that we know and love, are the illustrators and the animators who worked tirelessly to bring them to the big screen, and of course, the voice actors who breathe life into them with their mesmerizing voice.

Voice acting is an aspect we often overlook when watching a House of Mouse film, however, it plays a huge role in making the characters so appealing to the audience. And in Disney standards, the voiceover alone is not enough, as they also require the voice actor to have an exceptional singing voice to boot to perform the movie’s musical scores.

Unlike Hollywood actors, we don’t get to see Disney voice actors’ faces on the big screen. However, Instagram artist Crystal Ro got you covered, as she successfully put some iconic Disney voice actors into their characters’ getups, to show us how Disney characters would look portrayed by these talented performers.

#1. The critically acclaimed Tom Hanks voices Woody in the iconic Toy Story franchise.

Crystal is a Writer, Illustrator, and Senior Editor at BuzzFeed, who has an unrivaled love for Disney Movies and characters. She illustrates a lot of stunning and hilarious Disney-related art on social media alongside her period problem comics.

#2. Woody's best bud in the Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear, is portrayed by the talented Tim Allen.

Crystal's comic content and articles have been covered by several popular pages such as Unilad, ComicBook, or Bored Panda. She also creates comics for Amazon Prime Video and worked in the Send Help!: A Collection of Marooned Cartoons anthology book.

#3. Kelly MacDonald voices Merida from Brave. We were all mesmerized with her charming Scottish accent in the movie.

Crystal was born in New Hampshire, and attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her cat Peggy.

#4. Similarly, Emma Thompson was in charge for Queen Elinor, Merida's mother in Brave.

"I've written and drawn about everything from period problems to Baby Yoda as Disney princesses," the artist told Bored Panda.

#5. Idina Menzel portrays the powerful Elsa in the Frozen franchise. She plays Nancy in the Enchanted films from Disney as well.

When asked which characters she chooses to draw, Crystal admitted that she deliberately chooses 3D characters. “I pd it would be easier to make them look more realistic and blend better with their real-life counterparts, compared to the 2D/traditionally drawn characters." She explained.

#6. Elsa's dynamic sister, Anna, is voiced by Kristen Bell. To us, this is the best picture by far.

She also added that due to the amount of Photoshop required, the Disney voice actors series take more time to do than the others.

#7. Now, to Tangled, we have Mandy Moore and her bewitching smile as Rapunzel.

#8. And last but not least, Rapunzel's boyfriend, Flynn Rider aka Eugene, is voiced by the Shazam star Zachary Levi.

#11. Here she also turns Baby Yoda into Princess Jasmine.
