The lifestyle of a celebrity assistant may be quite exciting. Fantastic benefits and unprecedented access to A-listers are yours to enjoy. Doing what you love for a living has to be everyone's idea of the perfect profession, right? Wrong. More so after hearing these accounts of famous people being horrible to their help. All these true tales, from former assistants to famous people, demonstrate that life in the spotlight is not all it's built up to be.

1. Naomi Campbell

Everyone is well aware of the nightmare that is collaborating with Naomi Campbell, the supermodel. Apparently, in 2001, Campbell tossed a phone at her aide, as reported by People. The model "grabbed her by the arms and slammed her down on a couch," according to the assistant. Campbell admitted to another assault allegation in February of 2000, this time for assaulting an employee.

Courtney Love was sued by her former aide, Jessica Labrie. Labrie accused the singer of having "an inappropriate and bad intention amounting to malice or disgusting behavior," as reported by Rolling Stone. Labrie "worked over 60-hour weeks without extra pay," "was pressured to employ a computer hacker," and "was pushed to write phony legal letters."

3. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga was sued in 2013 by her former assistant, Jennifer O'Neill, who claimed she was owed overtime pay. In court records, O'Neill claimed she was on call around the clock and that she and Lady Gaga "often slept in the same bed since O'Neill never had her hotel room while on tour and was expected to attend Lady Gaga's demands throughout the night."

Gawker reportedly specified the following traits in her ideal assistant: "The candidate must be calm under fire, resilient, and resourceful when operating in unfamiliar environments. There is no time off... If the butler isn't around, you must cook, clean, and change diapers. You must be aware of when J. Lo enjoys a snack. You can't expect her to tell you she's hungry. Therefore, you should be prepared to feed her."

As gossip blogger Perez Hilton reported, Lindsay Lohan allegedly threw her aide Gavin Doyle out of a car after he bailed her out of jail. According to Trendingbiz, she also sought to blame Doyle for a previous automobile accident. She allegedly informed authorities that he was the driver at the time of the incident.

It's common knowledge that Sharon Stone abuses her employees horribly. According to court documents acquired by Radar, Stone allegedly instructed former employee Angelica Castillo that she "would have to come in to work that day" despite physicians' orders that she "undertake a limited period of bed rest." The actress allegedly labeled Castillo "crazy and foolish" when she said Castillo was still in pain four months later.

A reliable insider on the set of "27 Dresses" claims that "It has been alleged that Heigl refused to record any sequences until her pregnant assistant rushed and bought her a Coke Zero. Once the cameras stopped shooting, she refused to sit with anybody at lunch or converse with anyone."
