The fifteen-year-old boy wouldn't get out of bed to prepare for school no matter how hard he tried to wake him up. Seeing his cat Ravioli rambling nearby, he desperately grabbed her and put her on his chest with a fragile hope that she could somehow get the boy up. It ended up with Ravioli getting knocked out right away.

The OP was so cornered that he snatched Ravioli's squirt bottle, filled it with clean water, and sprayed it upon the nephew's face. Surprisingly this worked immediately. From that moment, the OP found the squirt bottle more reliable and useful to wake his monstrously sleepy boy. The OP lived happily ever after since he didn't have to blow his mind every morning afraid of both being late.

Considering the OP's method as mean and filthy, his cousin Lucinda accused him of depreciating Michael. She supposed that pet products were not meant to use on a human child, which was going to ruin the kid's self-esteem. The nephew didn't show much disappointment but he wasn't contented with the squirt bottle either.

Reddit found no mean guy in the story. Some expected that Lucinda might have overreacted, yet they thought that waking someone up by spraying water on their faces wasn't always a good thing to do. It could cause a big irritation to them if they had to go through it for a long time.
