Life-changing Moment: Abandoned Kitten Was Luckily Adopted in Walmart

Last month, Annie Rahe glanced at some Christmas decorations and some groceries at her local Walmart. As she pulled her cart onto the holiday aisle, she suddenly saw a tiny black and white kitten lying between the wooden pallets with no sign of his owners.

Rahe sought a salesman and questioned the actual kitten's condition.
"He informed me that the kitten had been dumped in the Walmart parking lot and kept sneaking into the store and hiding under the pallets," Rahe said. She doesn't know precisely how long he was there, but the worker told her that others had forced him to leave.

Rahe quickly put her cart down and went to the pet aisle to get a can of cat food. The notion of him staying there alone broke Rahe's heart because he was so small and smelly. "I wasn't leaving without him."

Once she dropped the can on the ground, the kitten rushed over and immediately began savoring the food. Rahe was able to seize the kitten because the food kept him distracted. Until she could return to the pet section and buy a carrier to put Wally in, she used another flimsy piece of cardboard as the lid.
She took approximately 45 to 50 minutes simply trying to build his trust. He initially climbed out of the box and her cart, so she had to grab him again. It led them to a difficult circumstance.

Rahe had decided to leave the store with groceries, but she successfully put Wally and kitten necessities into her car.
Rahe gave the kitten a bath, another dinner, and the name Wally. He then went to sleep peacefully with a full stomach.

Wally is tiny and underweight for his age but otherwise healthy and seems excited about his new life and family.
He is told to be always directly beneath Rahe's feet, so she has to move cautiously around him. He is fantastic about using his box and scratching post and enjoys all his new toys!

After vaccinations and treatments, Wally will quickly adapt to his cat and dog siblings. Rahe had no intention of adopting a kitten at Walmart, but sometimes the best gifts are free.
