Clothes on pets can be cute, but only if the animal is comfortable with the wardrobe. As long as it isn't painful or toxic to the pet, it can be beneficial to them under certain circumstances.
A Reddit user going by the name u/rainjacat has a cat who loves to go out in the garden. If he can't go outside, he gets bored which turns into him being destructive. OP and her cat live in a rainy country, so she managed to find a raincoat for him to protect him from getting wet in the rain when going out.
"I managed to find a rain coat meant for small dogs but it fits my cat perfectly so I pd I'd get it out since he already loves his dress and his batman fluffy thing and the rain coat was a massive success. He pretty much asks for it to he put on now so he can go out when it's raining," OP wrote.
The cat loves his rain coat so much, and he feels comfortable when wearing it. "He stands at the coat rack and cries until someone goes to put it on him. Even when it's not raining, because it usually starts raining. He stays dry and gets to play."
"My sister came to visit the other day and midway through her visit, the cat wanted out in the rain so I put on his jacket for him and he went on his merry way. Sister got mad, she said putting clothes on a cat, especially one with furr, is cruel and I'm only doing it for my own enjoyment," OP shared.
OP felt upset, so she went on the subreddit AmItheAsshole on Reddit to ask if she was wrong for putting the rain coat on her cat and taking pictures of him. Hard no, Reddit users quickly responded.
At first, they asked OP to post pictures of cat in the rain coat to determine where YTA or NTA. After she posted it, most of them agreed that she was not the a**hole. Some even asked her to post more pictures because her cat is so cute.

Everything was nice until OP's sister came to visit her. The sister went mad after she saw OP putting the rain coat on the cat. She said putting clothes on a cat, especially one with furr, is cruel. She thinks OP is a huge a**hole because OP is doing it for her own enjoyment."My sister came to visit the other day and midway through her visit, the cat wanted out in the rain so I put on his jacket for him and he went on his merry way.
