Johan Karlgren, who goes by the artistic name Pappas Pärlor, is a Swedish urban artist who came up with this intriguing idea. He creates interactive street pixel art by creating ps with beads and integrating them into urban environments; which makes his surroundings a lot more fun. His creations are extremely amusing to watch as each piece is designed to interact with its surroundings, making them stand out. Here are some of the best of his work. His characters who swarm the streets are all pixelated, as they are inspired by his passion - old video games. And his pixelated characters are brought to life in the real world. Johan's pixel art may be found on a wide range of items, including traffic signs, pipes, sculptures, fences, and more. They've been cleverly integrated into the operations of those objects, giving them new meaning.Instead of paint, Karlgren uses a unique medium to create pixelated characters. He makes 8-bit-styled pixel figurines from Perler beads and scatters them around Sweden's streets.
The designer effectively combines the tiny characters with their existing backgrounds to make pixel art more humorous. Placing a flying Superman in a dented handrail gives the impression that the superhero caused the dent. The sight of Mario and Luigi sliding down a drain pipe on a water slide adds a burst of color to an otherwise uninteresting location. The iconic Jaws shark rising from a puddle is a thrilling sight to behold.
