Some famous people have benefited from organ donations thanks to the generosity of friends, fans, or loved ones. These famous persons who received liver or kidney transplants often received them from an unknown donor.
Like other individuals, famous people in need of organ donations have the highest chance of getting one from a close friend or family member. The challenge, however, is that the donor must be a perfect match, or the organ may be rejected. This used to be a major issue, leading to many surgical deaths, but surgeons now have testing to determine whether or not a donor is a good match.
