Bruce Willis Has Just Announced His Retirement, And All We Can Do Is Thank Him For His Film Legacy

Bruce Willis. We all know him. We're all familiar with his movies. He was first and foremost an action star who rose to fame from Die Hard as the everyday man John McClane, which changed action films forever. He then played dramatic roles in Shyamalan films such as Unbreakable and Sixth Sense and shows us there's more range to him than just snarky wisecracks and gunshots.

Just recently, he has announced his retirement, due to a condition called aphasia. It's sad to know that he won't appear on the big screen at all anymore.
As his career has had an immeasurable impact on the world, we want to take a closer look into Bruce's personal life, to see the man behind the name.

Fun fact: Ole Bruce, the wonderbread American, was actually born in West Germany, in 1955. His acting career began off-Broadway in the ’70s and Bruce first rose to fame thanks to the TV show Moonlighting, in 1985. Hew wasn't an action star just yet, but close enough. He played a wisecracking detective.

During the actor’s Moonlighting days, Die Hard debuted in 1988 and Mr. Willis starred in all 5 parts, with the last one coming out in 2013. Bruce Willis will be forever known as John McClane, the quick-witted everyman cop that saves the day.

Bruce Willis is also a singer, his debut album, The Return of Bruno, was released in 1987, and 2 others followed in 1989 and 2001. And while his vocal career didn't really get a chance to take off, the lead single — Respect Yourself, was a hit.

In his first 20 years of life, Bruce has a stutterer. He could hardly talk, he claimed. This is why he wanted to become an actor, because when he is in character, the stutter is gone.

Bruce first married Demi Moore in 1987 and their marriage lasted about 13 years. In 2oo9 the actor married model Emma Heming. Today he's the proud father of 5 beautiful daughters. 3 with Demi, and 2 others with Emma. Their names are Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn.

Aphasia is a condition that affects your ability to communicate. It can affect your speech, as well as the way you write and understand both spoken and written language. most common among older adults, is a language disorder that can make it difficult for individuals to communicate through words. People who suffer from this condition make mistakes, whether they choose the wrong words, put them together incorrectly, or can’t comprehend them. The major causes are stroke and head trauma, aphasia can also be the result of brain tumors, brain infections, or neurodegenerative diseases (such as dementias).

Bruce Willis has been actively working over the past few years, he appeared in 8 Movies.just last year. Word of mouth says he only appears for 1 or 2 days and cashes in 1 million dollars per role. While 2 movies have already been released this year, there are still 8 movies in post-production. Though the movies aren't gonna be of quality, to Bruce, we wish you a happy retirement and lots of happiness in old age.
We hope his days of retirement will be of peace and relaxation and we forever thank him for his film legacy.
