31 Times Actors Leave Us In Awe By Stepping Out Of Their Typical Genre

Jimmy Henton

The movies reflect the real world, which means each person in this world can make a character on screen. However, it’s really hard for actors to convince all the characters. Some portrayals of them are excellent, and some are terrible. For example, Adrian Brody who was famous for the drama genre in “The Pianist”, tried to be an action star in “Predators”. His genre crossover into science fiction was far from a convincing transition. Of course, his role has different reviews.
But some actors bravely took over the genre which wasn’t their strength and brilliantly made it. Sitcom actor Tom Hanks is an example. His acting career reached its peak when he changed his genre from comedy to drama. Steve Carell also changed the direction of his career. He started in some comedy films such as The Office’s Michael Scott and played this role such a very long time before shifting to drama.
And here’s a list of celebrities who left us in awe by successfully taking on a role different from the ones we were used to seeing them in.
