When Ultron fought the Avengers in : Age of Ultron, Nick Fury demanded members of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Rhodey to help the other superheroes. War Machine shot Ultron when they flew through the sky then Iron Man quickly joined him in the battle.

Thanks to War Machine's help, the Avengers defeated all of the Ultron Sentries and saved Sokovia's people. Afterward, Rhodey became an Avenger, alongside Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Vision.

2. Fought Vanko's Drones With Iron Man

Vanko controlled War Machine and manipulated all the drones to fight the people that attended Stark Expo. Once Black Widow was able to give Rhodey control of his suit again, he and Tony began fighting Vanko's drones together. They were able to take them out, with War Machine shooting a lot of them.
