Sharon Stone has officially joined the cast of Blue Beetle, the next film in the DC Extended Universe that will mark the character's debut on the big screen.
As we have reported in recent days, the first official concept art of the film clearly showed the existence of Kord Industries, thus confirming the thesis that a link between Victoria Kord and Ted Kord could be one of the fulcrums of the narrative. But Sharon Stone's new character will not be the only villain in the story since Conrad Carapax, also known as Carapax the Indestructible Man, will be involved as well.
“It is an honor to direct Blue Beetle, the first Latino superhero film for DC,” Soto told TheWrap. “I want to sincerely thank everyone at Warner Bros. and DC for trusting me to bring Jaime Reyes to life. I can’t wait to make history together.”
Blue Beetle's production is currently underway and no further details have been disclosed at the moment. The film is expected simultaneously on the big screen and on HBO Max on August 18, 2023.

She will almost certainly go to connect with the character of Ted Kord, the second hero to wear the Blue Beetle suit. Ted Kord is also the predecessor of Jaime Reyes, the Latin American boy protagonist of the film who is destined to take on the identity of the well-known superhero and become his third incarnation. As we have reported in recent days, the first official concept art of the film clearly showed the existence of Kord Industries, thus confirming the thesis that a link between Victoria Kord and Ted Kord could be one of the fulcrums of the narrative.
