Emilia Clarke's Mystery Role In "Secret Invasion" May Have Been Revealed

Focusing on the silent invasion of the Skrulls into the highest command ranks on Earth, Secret Invasion is surely one of the most awaited Marvel series at this moment. The filming of the show is currently underway and even though most cast members have been announced already, many of their roles remain a mystery.

However, a little while ago, a new rumor related to Secret Invasion may have revealed the role of Emilia Clarke, the celebrated newcomer of the MCU.
As reported by the famous insider MyTimeToShineHello, it seems like Emilia Clarke will play Veranke in the series. There are no further confirmations at the moment but, as always, we will keep you updated.

In the comics, Veranke is a character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Jim Cheung in the pages of 2005's The New Avengers #40. She is the queen of the Skrulls, a race of shape-shifting aliens introduced in Captain Marvel which also includes Talos (Ben Mendelsohn).

Directed by Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim and written by Kyle Bradstreet, Secret Invasion is a 6-episode series produced by Marvel Studios as part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The cast of the show includes Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill and new entries like Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Olivia Colman, Carmen Ejogo, Christopher McDonald and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
The series will be available for streaming on Disney+ later this year.
