10 Scenes In Which Selfless Disney Characters Acted Selfishly

Margot Nolan

Both Disney's hand-drawn films and 3D CGI are still considered masterpieces nowadays. The character development in all of Disney's animated Movies is what keeps audiences captivated, no matter how old they are. Besides, the lessons this studio puts into their work is what makes Disney movies relevant to the audience and makes them feel empathy with the characters.
One of the most valuable lessons I have learned from Disney is loving yourself. You can easily recognize that the main characters in Disney animated films such as "The Little Mermaid", "Toy Story" and others appear perfect and are always aware of others. They teach us how to be kind and selfless. But it is not all the things Disney wants to convey. They want us to know that chasing our dreams, loving ourselves, and being selfish are not always wrong. That's why the protagonists eventually do something selfish to satisfy their desires, despite their selflessness. Instead of being mad at their selfish choices, the viewers feel satisfied when their actions drive the movie to a happy ending.
