Recently, a girl who goes by OnlyAt4AM on Reddit, shared her story on the “Am I the A**hole?” (AITA) subReddit to receive judgment. She told her mom that she would choose her dog over her brother with down syndrome. Her mom said she needed to apologize, but she felt she was not wrong. She admitted that what she said was potentially harsh, but she didn't regret it.
She asked the sub: "AITA for telling my mom I’d pick the family dog over my brother with Down syndrome?"
She explained that her brother let the puppy out of the house without her collar on or anything that would identify her. He had down syndrome, but he was not taught about the consequences for his actions. And this became potentially dangerous for the family dog who surely didn’t deserve it. She told to her mom, but she was ignored. Her mom told that she was overreacting.
