Girl Injured Old Dog While Playing Soccer, But Refused To Pay Vet Bills

Carolyn Mullet

If you are at fault for an accident and cause someone injured, you are responsible for medical bills. But sometimes, discerning whose at fault in a mishap can be difficult.
A girl, who goes by VetBills17 on Reddit, found in this dilemma when she accidentally injured a dog while playing soccer. She immediately apologized, but the dog owner demanded her pay the vet bills. Although she could afford to pay, she refused to pay as she thought that the owner was also wrong. She shouldn't bring an old dog so close to a field where she and her friends are playing.
Her friends said that it was her fault. She wasn’t sure about how she handled the situation, so she shared her story on the AITA (Am I The A**hole) subReddit for perspective. Scroll down to read!
She asked: “AITA for not paying the vet bills for someone’s dog I injured and probably can afford to pay?”
