Having a cat may enrich your life and change you for the better. But if you are dating, living with a cat can take a toll on your dating life in a way you could never have anticipated. That is exactly what happened with a 24-year-old woman who owns a cat named Crumb.
The woman posted her story on r/AITA to ask Reddit users for advice. She decided to break up with her boyfriend after he complained about her cat and all things she did with it.
"Kyle says he doesn’t like my nightly routine with Crumb. I give Crumb a kiss on the head, stomach, and then face before he goes to sleep. He sleeps on my bedside table in a cat bed. If I don’t do this routine, he lays on me until I do. I know that’s annoying, but that’s how it has always been and I love doing it. Kyle says I am unhygienic because of this. He says Crumb is dirty and even letting him sleep in the bedroom is gross and gets fur everywhere,” the author wrote.
And of course, when Kyle forced the woman to choose between him and her cat, she had no doubt of what to choose. She chose her cat Crumb over her boyfriend. After she gave her decision and shared her story, many people supported her and said she was NTA. Take a look below at the responses from Reddit!

The woman started dating a guy named Kyle after adopting Crumb, an abandoned kitten. However, her boyfriend was not a fan of cats and he never grew up with pets. For this reason, when the guy started to spend the night, Crumb had been an ‘adjustment’ to him.” He started complaining about Crumb and his “disgusting” behavior."Kyle says he doesn’t like my nightly routine with Crumb.
