Patrick Stewart Finally Breaks The Silence On "Doctor Strange 2" Rumor

The trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness obviously sparked deductions and hype of fans: among the many scenes that gave life to theories from the most bizarre to the most possible, certainly the voice of what seems to be Patrick Stewart and consequently, according to many, Professor Charles Xavier of the X-Men franchise.
A short while after the trailer was released, it was Patrick Stewart himself who talked about his alleged presence in the film. In an exclusive interview for Comic Book, the actor denied what everyone thought.

"You know, people have been imitating my voice ever since I came on the stage 60 years ago," he said. "So, I can't be held responsible for that."
In addition, Stewart added that Professor X's presence would have made sense if Logan hadn't been shot.
"Here's the problem... If we had not made Logan, then yes, I would probably be ready to get into that wheelchair one more time and be Charles Xavier," the actor said. "But Logan changed all that."
Stewart also recounted an anecdote related to the film's premiere.

"The first time that Hugh and I saw the film in public was at the Berlin Film Festival, which is where the movie premiered," he shared. "Shortly after Xavier's death scene, I found myself getting very emotional, but I had to keep a hold of myself because we were sitting in the middle of this cinema. And then I saw Hugh's hand come up to his eye and wipe away a tear. I thought, 'Dammit, the bugger's crying. Oh, let it out, Patrick.'"
Obviously, the actor's statement appears to be in line with what Andrew Garfield did in stubbornly denying his presence in Spider-Man: No Way Home. So, more than a denial, it seems like a confirmation.
Even more obviously, we know that with the multiverse involved, everything could be possible and Marvel Studios will be deliberately working on generating hype and theories to increase the expectation of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, arriving in theaters at the beginning of May.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is expected in cinemas on May 6, 2022. In the cast, in addition to Benedict Cumberbatch as the mighty Doctor Strange, we will also see Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Barone Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer and newcomer Xochitil Gomez as America Chavez.
