Apparently, The Mandalorian is continuing the Star Wars franchise's tradition of arriving in the Christmas season. In fact, according to a report, the third season of the series would premiere at Christmas 2022 on Disney+.
The news comes from the latest edition of Inside Line in the TVLine column with Matt Webb Mitovich. When asked if he knew when the series would return, his response seems to confirm the rumor that has been circulating for months.
"It is a safe bet that Season 3 will premiere this year, probably around Christmastime," the Editor In Chief replied.

Additionally, both the first and second seasons of the series set in the Star Wars universe aired at the end of the year. The first season of The Mandalorian lasted from 12 November 2019 to 27 December 2019, while the second season was from 30 October 2020 to 18 December 2020.
