Over a month before the highly anticipated The Batman hit theaters, director Matt Reeves has once again released an excerpt from the film on social media. This is the clip of the funeral scene that was already leaked several weeks ago, but this time it comes in glorious 4K.
The scene features Bruce Wayne attending the funeral of the now-former Gotham City mayor Don Mitchell Jr., when he hears screams of panic outside the church and notices a mysterious backlit p, apparently the Riddler, on the balcony. That moment is then interrupted by the breaking into the church of an SUV, which is out of control.
Matt Reeves posted the video on his Twitter profile, stating in the caption: Many of you may have seen this scene from @TheBatman floating around online, so I decided to put it on my vimeo in 4k. #AdvanceTickets go on sale 2/10! In the meantime, hope you enjoy this sneak peak...

In addition, Warner Bros. has also released new character posters dedicated to the protagonists of The Batman, including of course Batman (Robert Pattinson), Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), The Riddler (Paul Dano) and Penguin (Colin Farrell).
It was also confirmed a few days ago that the film will run for 2 hours and 47 minutes, excluding the credits.
The Batman will land in theaters on March 4, 2022.

After the crash, Gotham Police Commissioner James Gordon orders the driver to get out of the vehicle with his hands up. The driver is none other than Gotham District Attorney Gil Colson, whose mouth is currently taped up. Colson also shows a telephone attached to his hand and a bomb mounted on his neck. He has an envelope attached to his chest that reads "For Batman", which would imply that the enigmatic serial killer may be aware of Bruce Wayne's secret.Matt Reeves posted the video on his Twitter profile, stating in the caption: Many of you may have seen this scene from @TheBatman floating around online, so I decided to put it on my vimeo in 4k. #AdvanceTickets go on sale 2/10!
