Tesla CEO Elon Musk is known to be an active person in public communication, as seen by his tweets on Twitter and emails to all Tesla workers.
CNBC recently collected two emails that Musk sent to Tesla employees during the first week of October.
The first email shows his kindness, implying that listening to music with one earphone while working is acceptable.
The second email, with its tough tone, informs staff that when CEO Musk sends directions, they only have three options.
These two emails were received shortly after Tesla revealed the greatest number of vehicles delivered to customers in the third quarter, with 241,300 vehicles delivered, far exceeding the forecasted amount of 220,900 vehicles.
That's also when Tesla launched the long-awaited "Full Self-Driving Beta" button, which allows Tesla customers to sign up for a trial of the new driver-assistance software before each upgrade.

Furthermore, on October 4, Tesla was forced to pay a former employee called Owen Diaz $ 137 million in a big case in a federal court in San Francisco. The compensation was granted because the worker was subjected to a highly racist work environment at a Tesla vehicle assembly factory in Fremont, California.
This isn't the first time CNBC has obtained emails written by Musk to staff. In recent months, they also got a number of additional emails from Elon Musk to Tesla staff, from encouraging employess to work in Tesla's new facility in Berlin, Germany, to expressing agreement with a worldwide prediction Analysts predicted in September that Tesla's share price may exceed 3,000 UISD per share.

Here’s what Musk told employees on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4.

The first one was about music at work.

Subj. Music in the Factory
Just wanted to say that I very much support music in the factory, as well as any little touches that make work more enjoyable.
An associate just sent me a note asking if we could have one ear bud for music so the other ear can listen for safety-related issues. That sounds fine to me.
Also, ambient music from speakers is also totally cool so long as there is reasonable agreement among your colleagues as to the music choices.
If there are other things that you think would improve your day, please let me know. I care very much that you look forward to coming to work every day!

The second one reminded everybody who the boss is.

Subj. Please Note
If an email is sent from me with explicit directions, there are only three actions allowed by managers.
1. Email me back to explain why what I said was incorrect. Sometimes, I’m just plain wrong!
2. Request further clarification if what I said was ambiguous.
3. Execute the directions.
If none of the above are done, that manager will be asked to resign immediately.
Thank you,
Elon
It can be recognized that, in order to achieve this level of success today, Elon Musk is the one who always assesses things from several perspectives. Musk is amicable with his staff, but employee discipline is always a top priority for him.
