This Artist Turns Your Favorite Movie Characters Into Origami Masterpieces

Olivia Garcia

If you love Japanese culture, you surely have heard of origami – the amusing paper-folding art that showed up in this country in the 17th century and then rapidly conquered the whole world shortly afterward. Everybody loves it for many reasons, it's costless, it's fun, it's super relaxing, and it's can be either easy and hard depending on what you want! Doesn't that sound amazing?
Louise Cassidy has been obsessed with origami for 6 years straight and what she loves the most is recreating famous characters using paper only. According to Cassidy, the toughest part of this wholesome hobby is making those characters identifiable and recognizable. It often takes the artist from 30 minutes to several hours to complete her models, which are often about an inch tall each.
"Whenever I see a popular character in a film or TV Show, instead of concentrating on the plotline, my mind wanders into how I could recreate it with paper folding," Cassidy shared with Bored Panda.
Let's take a look at her pop culture-inspired paper characters, and don't forget to tell us which one is your favorite!
