Disney Movies Get A Cool Modern Twist Thanks To UK Artist

Margot Nolan

It's easy to overlook the fact that some of our favorite Disney films were released more than half a century ago. Every 10 years or so, Disney re-releases the films, keeping classics like Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, and The Little Mermaid fresh in people's minds. Have you ever considered what kind of plot those films might have if they were set in the 2010s or 2020s?

Tom Ward, a UK illustrator, has reinvented how these iconic Disney titles would look in today's environment to answer the previous question. He once shared: "Disney characters are so iconic that I thought transporting them to our modern world could help us see it through new eyes, giving me an opportunity to communicate some issues I feel strongly about. e.g. circus animals, pollution and the ivory trade, using friendly and familiar visuals with a darker tone." And with his artistic talent, he has successfully incorporated aspects of modern times into Disney films.

Let's check out his 11 outstanding artworks and don't forget to tell us which one is your favorite!
