The saddest part of owning a pet is they can't live with us forever. Our beloved furry friends are often the ones who leave our world, because they don't live as long as humans do. And after they cross the Rainbow Bridge, their photos are usually the best things we have that keep us remembering those guys.
To help pet owners cherish the memories of their dear fur babies, Nette - a pet photographer from Boise, Idaho has started an awesome project called "Paw it Forward", in which he captures mesmerizing pictures of senior pets (mostly dogs) during their last days in this world. And the greatest part is, they are totally free!
The idea came up after Nette lost two of his chihuahuas at almost the same time 6 years ago and it just broke his heart. Nette is now working on wildlife photography as well, but pet portraits will always be his top priority. He said that those pictures were the ones that meant the most to him.
"I've been taking animal pictures for about 15 years now, even longer if you count the days I used film cameras. I used to have three chihuahuas, but in 2015, I suddenly lost two of them due to illness and old age, three days apart. I was a bit of a wreck for a while after losing my beloved senior dogs," the photographer wrote on Bored Panda.
