We have seen tons of mischievous cats who act like they own the house all the time, but have you ever heard about a sweet kitty who politely begs for what he wants? Lately, a black cat named Wadsworth has gone viral on Instagram thanks to the hilarious videos in which he presses his paws together and waves them repeatedly until he finally gets the food he’s asking for.
Wadsworth (or Waddy for short) is currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio under the care of his pawrents Natasha and Andrew Klosterman alongside 5 feline siblings - Cutler, Jax, Mystery, Pepper, and Spooky. According to his owners Natasha and Andrew, Waddy is truly a special cat. Even though black cats are often said to be a symbol of bad luck, this little one is nothing but a blessing to their family!
“We’re so excited to share Waddy with the world! We love him so much. He is so special so we would love everyone to see how special he is,” they told Bored Panda.
In an interview with Bright Side, Natasha and Andrew stated that nobody taught him the trick and they had no idea where it came from. The smart boy started his begging habit when he was only a few-month-old kitten and to encourage him, they usually petted him for a while whenever he did that.
Talking about his personality, Natasha and Andrew admitted that he’s quite obsessive and never wanted to be left behind – which made him even more adorable!
“Waddy definitely wants to be the center of attention all the time! He acts like a super tough cat, but can be baby when he doesn’t get what he wants,” the couple shared with Bored Panda.
“He has an obsessive personality (with his current obsession being with the bathroom again, and playing with a toy in the bathtub) and he will just beg and beg until he gets what he wants. Him begging makes him who he is! He has his own special way of communicating with us that makes it really easy to know what he wants,” they said.
Isn’t he endearing? Just follow Waddy on Instagram for more of his funny moments, and don't forget to share his story with your loved ones!
