The comic strip "War and Peas" is no longer a strange name to the comic community. Starting this webcomic in 2011, the artist duo Elizabeth Pich and Jonathan Kunz are very happy that they could build a loyal and loving following. The series has already amassed a lot of fans from all over the world. In particular, one million people follow it on Instagram, and over 300,000 follow it on Facebook—an honor for comic artists. Well, the comic duo has some good news for us: they released a book, for example, and the upcoming book is titled “Funny Comics for Dirty Lovers”. The Germany-based artists have signed an international book deal with Andrews McMeel Publishing, which means they share the same home as the Peanuts, Calvin & Hobbes, and their other webcomic colleagues. So, in the future, Elizabeth Pich and Jonathan Kunz will surely bring us much laughter and joy.
We've featured their comics from the webcomic "War and Peas" before, and many people probably liked them so much. So, let us show you what has made these comics so beloved.
"Hilarious, oddly touching, and even morbid is among the description you will brand these comic strips after taking a glance." This a detailed comment we received in the previous posts about "War and Peas". Interestingly, the comic's layout is very simple and clear, only with 4 panels, but it contains the whole story with incredible characters, including the grim reaper, a robot, a self-assured witch, and others. Especially, with their sense of humor, two artists won't complete each comic without ending it with hilariously unexpected twists. And, the best part is that we can enjoy a new comic by them every Sunday.
