#1. Willow Shields
In April 2023, the Hunger Games actress took to Instagram to share her private photos, revealing that she had been targeted by a blackmailer. In her post, she explained the situation, stating, “I’m being blackmailed and extorted for nude photos of myself, something private that was never meant to be shared with the whole world. I’m taking back the control and sharing it with you first.”
She further disclosed, “Here’s the photo they emailed and attached threatening to share with my friends, family, and the internet. They claim to have many more ‘less tame’ photos to use against me.”
Addressing the broader issue, she acknowledged, “I also share this because I know how many other people are affected daily by revenge porn and nude leaks, that are carried out by hackers and criminals in an effort to break down body and mind, both deeply vulnerable.”
Asserting her stance, she declared, “I understand, and I’m sorry it exists. I will not stand for any slut-shaming; this is my body, and I will share it with whomever I choose.”
#2. Madison Beer
In response to her "traumatic" nude photo scandal in March 2020, Madison took to social media and wrote a heartfelt letter to her fans. Madison claimed that at the age of 14, a boy disclosed "very private Snapchats" that she had exchanged with him. The singer opened up about her feelings of guilt and "anxiety" following this ordeal.
“I know there are some very significant things happening in the world right now that are very frightening so my intention with this message is not, in any way, to distract from them, but I do wanna talk today on International Women’s Day on the subject of shaming women,” Madison said in a lengthy message posted on Twitter. “When I was around 14 and exploring my body and sexuality, I sent very private Snapchats of my body to a boy I really liked at the time.”
She went on, “I was distraught and ashamed. This was a traumatizing experience that has instilled intense trust issues in me, that I’m still working on to this day.”
#3. Vanessa Hudgens
Shortly after her fame as Gabriella from High School Musical spread, Vanessa was involved in a "traumatic" nude photo controversy. Following a hack, the actress's private images were made public online in 2007.
"I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me," the actress said in a statement released after the incident. "I am embarrassed by this situation and regret taking these photos." "I am grateful for the love and support of my family and friends."
In an interview with Cosmopolitan UK in January 2020, the actress discussed how the incident affected her life.
"It was a very traumatic experience for me." "It's really messed up that people feel entitled enough to share something that personal with the world," she said, recalling the moment she was blamed for the leak of her personal photos. "As an actor, you completely lose control of your own privacy, which is very sad."
It seems like that shouldn't be the case. Still, unfortunately, if enough people are interested, they'll do everything they can to learn as much as they can about you, which is flattering, I suppose. Still, then people go too far, and end up divulging things that should be personal."
#4. Bella Thorne
In June 2019, Bella Thorne faced a hacking incident where a man threatened to release her private photos. Taking matters into her own hands, she courageously shared the images on Twitter, stating, “Yesterday, as you all know my s–t was hacked. For the last 24 hours, I have been threatened with my own nudes. I feel gross. I feel watched. I feel someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one special person to see.”
Expressing frustration, she revealed, “He has sent me multiple nude photos of other celebrities. He won’t stop with me or them; he will just keep going. For too long I let a man take advantage of me over and over, and I’m f–king sick of it. I’m putting this out because it’s MY DECISION NOW. YOU DON’T GET TO TAKE YET ANOTHER THING FROM ME. I can sleep tonight better knowing I took my power back. You can’t control my life. You never will.”
Bella defiantly shared the threatening photos, declaring, “Here’s the photos he’s been threatening me with. In other words, here’s my boobies. So here, f–k you.” Despite the distress, she asserted her strength, emphasizing, “The last 24 hours I have been crying instead of celebrating my book while doing my book press. Oh yeah, the FBI will be at your house shortly, so watch your mother f–king back.”
#5. Alissa Violet
In October 2019, the YouTuber shared a naked photo of herself on Instagram. Fans immediately assumed that the photo had been leaked by the social media star's ex-boyfriend FaZe Banks. The blonde beauty allegedly told a fan in a series of DMs that she posted the racy photos because a hacker was threatening to release them.
"It has absolutely nothing to do with [FaZe]." Because a hacker threatened to leak it, I simply posted it. All of my tags believe [FaZe] is threatening to leak them, which is not the case."
Her Instagram photo was later deleted.

Selena Gomez's Instagram was hacked in August 2017, according to Variety, and the hacker reposted nude photos of her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The photos were first published in the New York Daily News in 2015, following the couple's trip to Bora Bora. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the singer responded to the leak by saying he felt "super violated."

"Once again, a public p was violated, stolen from, and her private life and body were made public." I will not apologize for living my life and having my own personal life."
#9. Victoria Justice
In 2014, the former Victorious actress was embroiled in a nude photo scandal. She took to Twitter to express her displeasure with the situation.
"Shortly after I tweeted about certain pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy," she said at the time. "There have always been fake photos of me on the Internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake."
She went on to say, "I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights."
