10 Times Movie Creators Left Us A Bunch of Hints But We Went Unnoticed Them

Some movies are so awesome that we desire to get a copy and rewatch it again and again. Maybe it’s because the acting is captivating and the cinematography is so beautiful. Or, maybe many easter eggs and tiny details within the scenes have been hidden by filmmakers.
Sometimes, these details are interesting hints that give the movie more depth. While they can pick out the scene smartly, some viewers have a knack for spotting the slightest details. Of course, some just focus on the plots and characters but totally miss hints. When they are revealed by film buffs, many viewers get a huge shock.

#1 Blues glasses and the cat in The Matrix Resurrections

Psychotherapist Neo who often wears blue-framed glasses turns out to be the architect of the Matrix. His glasses act as his personal blue pill to some extent — he sees the artificial world created by him. The character’s blue cat named Deja-vu hints at the fact that this character hides danger — its reappearance in the first part of the franchise was a sign of a malfunction in the Matrix.

#2 Names in the Squid Game series

According to a Tik Tok user, the main character’s name, Seong Gi-hun means “meritorious deed”. When seeing him for the first time, he appeared as an infantile, weak-willed gambler who has large debts. But, by the end of the series, he gradually became a real hero, corresponding to his name.
Oh II-nam, the old man with the 001 number turning out to be its creator, was given a hint at the beginning. All because the name of the character is literally translated as “number one man” which corresponds to both his serial number in the game and his status.

#3 Labels on clothes in Spencer

Each of Princess Diana’s outfits has a label that has a sign for where she is supposed to wear it – to church, to Christmas dinner, etc. The audience spot that the tiniest details of Diana’s looks were chosen by others. However, in the movie Diana is shown breaking the rules and wearing a bright red coat that wasn’t meant for Christmas Eve church services.

#4 The name and the ring in Last Night in Soho

The movie’s final was revealed at the beginning of the movie. Ms. Collins, the house owner, introduces herself as Alexandra to her future tenant for the first time. Later we learn that the girl whom the main character is trying to find out is named Alexandra. The director gives a hint that her noticeable ring looks exactly like the house owner’s finger as well.

#5 The name in The Lion King

Scar is just the nickname of the main antagonist that is suitable for his appearance. The Scar’s real name is Taka, meaning “waste” in Swahili. It predicts the destiny of this evil character.

#6 The background in Don’t Look Up

We can see a promoter wearing a dinosaur costume when the characters seek help from the media. In the scene, Kate says to her boyfriend that a comet, which is bigger in size than the asteroid that destroyed dinosaurs, is heading toward Earth. It is a hint that what will happen in the final.

#7 Bulls in Dune

A figurine of a matador and a bull’s head appear at the beginning of the movie. They are family heirlooms and are hints that Duke Leto’s father was a matador and he had an accident during corrida. It is why a bull symbols a sign of bad luck in the movie. It’s the bull’s head under the ceiling of his dining room where Duke Leto looks before his last dialogue with the main enemy — Baron Harkonnen.

#8 Indicating destiny in Cruella

We can notice that at the beginning of the film, Estella watches Lifeboat by Alfred Hitchcock. In the frame, the actress starts laughing hysterically when she lost everything. Estella later acts the same way.
Another hint that the director gives to the audience is that the beige Estella wearing predicts her future. It has the name Norma on it. It is a spin-off to the character of Hitchcock’s thriller Psycho. Perhaps this is how the movie creator hints at which destiny Estella will have when Cruella’s personality suppresses her brightness.

#9 Showing the main villain in Mare of Easttown

The audience was shocked that Erin was killed not by John Ross but by John’s angry son Ryan. However, looking back, we can notice a hint. When Mare was driving through Easttown, her eyes lingered on a yellow sign saying “Watch Children.”

#10 The wedding dress in House of Gucci

Patrizia Reggiani’s wedding dress was a bit more modest in real life than the one Lady Gaga donned in the flick. To some extent, this outfit with its large neckline and lace was able to immediately demonstrate to viewers, who may be unfamiliar with the story, how far Patrizia is from fitting into the house of Gucci in terms of taste as well as being part of this family.
