5 Movie Stars Who Strongly Refuse To Work With Tom Cruise

The year 2022 saw the release of a new Beyoncé album, the birth of two new Kardashian children, and the resurrection of Tom Cruise's acting career.
Tom Cruise is adored by fans and famous people for his great looks, acting skills, and dedication to performing his own stunts. He is best recognized for his work in legendary film franchises like "Mission Impossible" and "Top Gun." Zac Efron, Dakota Fanning, and David Beckham, among others, have frequently voiced their adoration for the actor.
Tom Cruise is highly renowned for both his excellent acting talents and the numerous scandals he has been involved in over the years, though. Surprisingly, this also includes chuckling when he relates a story about restricting a passenger's oxygen during a flight. Many famous people have flat-out refused to collaborate with Cruise or be linked with his films for similar reasons.
Below is a list of five celebrities who allegedly won't collaborate with Tom Cruise.

#1 Brad Pitt

It's not surprising at all that Cruise and fellow actor Brad Pitt run in the same circles, but there has reportedly been tension between them for many years. When they co-starred in Interview with the Vampire in 1994, their rivalry already existed. Rumors were circulating at the time that Pitt hated Cruise. According to reports, the World War Z star claimed that Cruise "bugged" him.
"He bugged me. There came a point during filming when I started really resenting him. He's the North Pole, I'm South," He allegedly said, according to Radar Online. It seems the two never reconciled, and it seems Pitt has no intention of getting along with the Oblivion star.

#2 Brooke Shields

Actress Brooke Shields revealed in 2005 that she needed medicines to treat postpartum depression. Cruise disagreed for some reason, telling Access Hollywood in 2005: "When someone claims that medication has helped them, they are referring to their ability to cope rather than a cure. Science does not exist. There is absolutely nothing that can heal them."
Shields was later labeled as "irresponsible" by the Top Gun actor, "I care about Brooke Shields because I think she is an incredibly talented woman, (but) look at where has her career gone."
It has been 17 years since Cruise made those remarks, and it appears that another picture will never be made. The two have only appeared in one film together (Endless Love, 1981).

#3 John Travolta

Even though they are both ardent Scientologists, there have long been rumors that John Travolta and Tom Cruise are not particularly close. When Brendan Tighe, a former church member, revealed to New Idea that Travolta was crazedly envious of Cruise in 2018, the claims were substantiated.
The article claims that Cruise held a more senior position within the Church of Scientology and that he was one of the few members of the sect who had direct access to David Miscavige, the leader of the organization.
Only Cruise has a direct line to Miscavige, according to Tighe. "Travolta didn't have that. Travolta doesn't get anything for free, no one is giving him absurd gifts like an airplane hangar, custom-made bikes, or over-the-top favors."

#4 Mark Wahlberg

Even though Mark Wahlberg isn't a very well-known star himself, it appears that he has no time for Cruise. The two stars have never collaborated before, and it doesn't seem like they ever will because of remarks Cruise made in 2013 that deeply angered Wahlberg.
According to reports from that year, Cruise had been saying that the work he was doing on a new movie was as tough as "fighting in Afghanistan."
Later that year, Wahlberg responded to Cruise's remark (again, omitting the other actor's name entirely). "For actors to sit there and talk about 'Oh I went to SEAL training,' and I slept on the... I don't give a f**k what you did," He reportedly added, according to TMZ.

#5 Russell Crowe

It's not surprising that Cruise and Nicole Kidman's famous friends were pressured to pick a side given how widely known their divorce was.
Russell Crowe reportedly preferred his lifelong friend Nicole Kidman to the Top Gun actor. It's interesting to note that Crowe and Kidman have been friends since they were both living in Australia and are considered to be very "normal" people.
However, there were some difficulties in their collaboration on the 2017 reboot of The Mummy. Reports stated that Crowe could not stand his co-star at the time of filming. Cruise hasn't been in Crowe's good graces for more than ten years, according to a source close to the A-lister.
