Jason Momoa had no acting experience when he auditioned for a role in the Baywatch revival. In an interview, he stated that he was 19 years old at the time of the casting and working at his family's surf shop. His pals assisted him in writing a CV that falsely stated that he had worked as a model.
“They asked: ‘Have you ever acted?’ I said: ‘No,’ and they asked: ‘Have you modeled?’ I was like: ‘Yeah, yeah, I’m a great model. I do Gucci and Louis Vuitton.’ So I made it all up at that moment.”

However, that is one of the few sports in which the actor does not participate. "'Oh yeah, I played basketball. I played varsity in my high school' which was not true, but that's what I said." Whoopi Goldberg began her career in the acting and music industries when she was very young. She dropped out of school at the age of 14 to work at a summer camp.
She lied about her age since she was too young to be employed. This enabled her to perform in musicals and church choirs such as Jesus Christ Superstar. She not only discovered her real passion in acting and singing, but she also became one of the rare EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) award winners.

Morgan Freeman, known for his distinctive voice, was chosen by director Joseph Kosinski to narrate the film Oblivion. Tenoch Huerta made Hollywood history by being one of the first Mexican actors to play a villain in a Marvel film. However, in a 2022 interview, he admitted to lying to win the part.
Tenoch was asked if he knew how to swim during his initial meetings with Marvel creatives, to which he replied, "I've never drowned." This vague remark enabled him to continue the discussions.  “We had to explain to them, through my lawyer in the United States, that this is how Mexicans are. We never say no, and then we see how we solve it.”

George Clooney was initially reluctant to join the Actors Guild. “You couldn’t get a job without getting into the Screen Actors Guild, so everybody would make up these credits to get in,” the actor admitted.
But on one occasion, George almost got caught. He lied about acting in a movie to secure a job, but the casting director had really worked on that film, and she clearly didn't recall working with Clooney. He urged her to assist him, and she did. That's how he got his part in Grizzly II: Revenge in 1983.

Lisanne Falk informed the casting directors of the film Heathers that she was 19 years old when she was actually 23 years old, as she subsequently admitted in an interview.

Eric Marlon Bishop is the actor's true name. He began his career as a comedian in the late 1980s, but producers prioritized women; males, who were in short supply, were put on a waiting list.
The actor decided to change his name to Jamie because it was confusing and sounded like a woman's name. As a result, producers might give him precedence in calls while not knowing his true gender. This helped him land a role in a comedy production that was later adapted for television, giving him further possibilities in series and films.
