There are so many Christmas comedy movies, and most of them are often not well-received. However, these classics will guarantee to give you a good time and fill your heart with the festive spirit. They should be on everyone must watch list, and if you haven’t checked them out yet, you’re missing out!

1. Noelle (2019)

Noelle is a heartwarming tale of Santa's daughter, Noelle, who was on her journey to convince her brother to come back and inherit the Santa role after their father retired. Through her trip to modern-day society, she encountered many struggles and often caught herself in hilarious situations, but she never gave up. Finally, Noelle found her brother in a yoga class, working as an instructor with his newfound passion in life.

2. Elf (2003)

Elf is one of the most famous Christmas cult classics that everybody should watch at least once. It’s a hilarious story about Buddy, a charismatic elf who lives at the North Pole. He is very different from his fellow elves in Santa's workshop. Buddy is much taller than them, and he doesn't have the necessary abilities as a toy maker.
Then one day Buddy is revealed to be a human. Upon hearing that his real father, Walter, is on the Naughty List, Buddy goes on a fun adventure to New York City to find out why.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is another name in the list of classic Christmas comedy movies that should be watched every Christmas season. It featured Jim Carrey as the mean Grinch who hated Christmas ever since he was a child. He was mocked by his classmate due to his appearance and fled to Mount Crumpit to hide.
His dislike towards the Whos, who live relatively happy and peaceful lives, and Christmas slowly changed when he met Cindy Lou Who. This movie is one of Jim Carrey’s best comedic performances, so you definitely should check it out.

4. Home Alone (1990)

It’s not Christmas if there isn’t Home Alone on screen. This charming movie will take you on a whimsical ride about cool traps, silly burglars, and family values. It starts with Kevin McCallister, who is sent to his room early as punishment for ruining a family dinner. The angry boy then wished for his family to disappear.
His wish was granted as he woke up alone in his house the following morning. Kevin spent the next few days celebrating the disappearance of his family, but things quickly changed when two burglars appeared.

5. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

The Muppet Christmas Carol was based on the classic Charles Dickens story. It told the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted old man who hated Christmas and loved money more than anything else. His life began to change when he was visited by the ghosts of Christmas. This endearing movie adaptation was narrated by two Muppets Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat.

6. Jingle All The Way (1996)

Jingle All The Way revolves around Howard Langston, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, a man who has been putting his work over his family for far too long. He decided to make up to them, starting with getting his son Jamie the toy he wanted for Christmas, which was unfortunately sold out everywhere.
On his hunt for the Turbo-Man action p, Howard encountered a mailman named Myron, who also left his Christmas shopping until the last minute. The two fathers clashed regularly throughout the movie, creating hilarious moments that will definitely make you laugh.

Love Actually is about different couples and their different ways of chasing romance. The acting is great and the script is very well-written. Each couple is unique and the gags are quite funny. You might not like all the couples in this movie, but you will find at least one of them relatable.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is a funny movie that centers around a crook pretending to be an actor. Plus, it has enough Santa hats and Christmas trees throughout to be called a Christmas movie. Robert Downey Jr. did a fantastic job in this film.

The Night Before tells the story of the epic one-last party of three long-time friends, Isaac, Ethan, and Chris. They have spent every Christmas party for the last ten years, but Isaac was going to have a baby so the fun must stop. The trio decided to celebrate their last big night by finding the famed Nutcracker Ball.

Picture your most awkward meeting with your partner’s parents and you will get this movie. The boyfriend in this film, who is played by James Franco, is probably every father’s worst nightmare. He is a tech billionaire who has no filter for his eccentric behaviors. His absurdity knows no bounds and they will guarantee to mess you up just like how they messed Bryan Cranston’s character up.
