The 11th episode of Accused Season 1 airs on April 4th. According to the synopsis, this episode tells the story about a character named Jiro. Jiro's mother has taken care of his brother Sam ever since he got into a car accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury. However, things took a bad turn after their mother dies. It appears that Sam is being abused in his new group home, and now Jiro has a big decision to make.
The accident left Sam with a traumatic brain injury, which turns him into a patient who needs to be taken care of for the rest of his life. After the incident, Jiro's mother become Sam's full-time caregiver.
Jiro feels extremely guilty to see that he is the only one who could continue to live a normal life in his family. This guilt spirals into a complete nightmare that haunts Jiro every night ever since his mother died.
A few days later, when Jiro is dealing with problems at work, he receives a call from Leon, informing that his brother is in ER after he "fell down some stairs". Leon shares that he didn't see Sam fall, and he didn't know if anyone saw it, either.
Jiro quickly becomes doubtful. As far as he knows, his brother has never had problems with navigating stairs. Jiro rushes into Kip's room to question him, although the workers at the facility quickly come to stop him. He expresses his frustration and concerns related to his brother's situation, but everyone just deems him as paranoid.
At first, Sarah doesn't agree with her husband's plan, but after a long talk, she decides to give it one last try. This time, Jiro's guess is right - Kip does have a pretty lengthy criminal record.
When Jiro comes to drop off a bento box for Sam, he hears Sam calls out the "bad guy" again. That is when he realizes that the true abuser is Leon. Jiro attacks Leon without hesitation. Leon arrives at the emergency room with an orbital fracture and a severe concussion.
Jiro is repeatedly offered a plea bargain in Leon's case, which would allow him to avoid prison time altogether. But Jiro doesn't accept it, because accepting the plea would disqualify him from applying to become his brother's legal guardian. "Which is what I should have done after our mother died", he explains.
Jiro begs the court to give him a chance to "do it right". Jiro's verdict is not revealed. The episode ends with a happy ending, where Sam gets to live happily with his brother's family.
