Twitter Users Are Extremely Angry With A Man Dressed As “Jeffrey Dahmer” For Halloween

Although Halloween is still a few weeks away, social media is already buzzing about the idea of a man dressed as “Jeffrey Dahmer” for Halloween

The renewed interest in Dahmer and his crimes has people warning others not to don a blonde wig and gold-frame glasses this Halloween, explaining that dressing as the deranged serial killer is a slap in the face to the families of his victims.

1. It’s not the killer costume you should be wearing this Halloween.

“Please do not ‘Cosplay’ or dress up as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween. Stop idolizing a horrific human that committed atrocious crimes. It’s f—ing weird,” tweeted @DarlinSincerest

“Go to therapy to work through your weird a– obsession, too. That s–t is not healthy.”

Impersonating Dahmer for kicks is not only blatantly disrespectful to the families of the 17 deceased, but also shows a disturbing, tasteless side of one’s psyche, Twitter users have griped in outrage recently.

'The constant lack of remorse for Dahmer's victims on social media makes me believe many people are going dress as Jeffery Dahmer and his victims for Halloween and that is so sick,' one person tweeted. Another added: 'I'm am urging people to PLEASE not dress up as Jeffery Dahmer for Halloween. We get that there is a cool new Netflix show about him but this man was a real-life murderer who does not deserve the praise.'

Some are saying that dressing up like Dahmer is a big faux pas this Halloween. “We get that there is a cool new Netflix show about him but this man was a real life murderer who does not deserve the praise,” wrote @teais_tasty.

The outrage has reached a point where many warrants a public beating.

“if you see someone being Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween, please beat them up,” tweeted @AzulasSon.

2. “Posting me as Dahmer again because it got deleted", it seems not everyone got the message.

Instagram user Sophia Casanova posed as Dahmer getting his mug shot taken — after a previous photo of the costume was allegedly taken down by the platform.

“Posting me as Dahmer again because it got deleted,” Casanova wrote. “I worked too hard to be censored!”

Beyond people supposedly taking things too far, Dahmer has apparently become a marketing tactic for some spooky parties. A nightclub in Aix, France, is throwing a Dahmer-themed Halloween bash that they vow to be the night of the year. Another nightclub event service, Crisis, in Nottingham, England, recently walked back an upcoming serial-killer-themed night — of which Dahmer was at the forefront.

But rest assured, there seem to be plenty of party hosts with much more level heads on their shoulders.
